ALBANESI MONTESSORI MATH CURRICULUM (AGE 3-6) DESCRIPTION & INDEX

The Math Curriculum Lab consists of 101 levels of Montessori exercises printed on 8½”x5½” cards organized in sequential order from simple to complex. Besides their main didactic function, the activity cards in the lab provide the Montessori teacher with an accurate inventory of the equipment and manipulative exercises that are needed for the preparation of the academic environment.

Once the materials needed for each lesson-presentation are sequentially displayed on the classroom shelves to match the presentations and exercises of the curriculum cards, the Montessori Guide will find it easy to track the students’ progress and academic achievements through this orderly and rational procedure. This form of teacher’s accountability does not alter in any way the basic principles of the Montessori Method of education that pertain to individualized lessons, self-paced learning, and students’ freedom of choice of pertinent activities.
