18 - THIRD GRADE STUDENT'S RECORD FOR ACP - F-103-III
This report is for evaluating objectively the level of abstraction of students working at third grade level in a 6-9 Montessori classroom. By “level of abstraction” it is meant what children can do on their own without the use of concrete manipulative materials. The report is coordinated with the Albanesi Curriculum Program (A.C.P.), which allows the teacher to collect accurate academic information as students work normally in a self-paced manner through the Montessori exercises. The teacher’s presentations are guided by the Individualized Tests and the ACP Labs, so that the data on the report can be entered accurately after the children have sufficiently practiced with the Montessori materials and can demonstrate what knowledge they have retained in the abstract. This form is particularly useful for conducting professional parent-teacher conferences. It is kept by the school as proof of permanent record of the student’s academic achievement. Copies of the record can also be made when a child is transferring to another Montessori or traditional school.
