Doctor Maria Montessori demonstrated that in the learning process the mind readily concentrates on what the hands are doing. For this reason, her method is also known as active education. She provided activities for the students that required the use of their hands. She designed word puzzles and matching games to enhance memorization of grammatical patterns, vocabulary, spelling and concepts during the learning process.
In this lesson you can follow the instructions for making your own Montessori games, so you may practice and test your memorization skills.
